WHEREAS, on September 19, 2017 the City of Gonzales posted a Request for Proposal for the operation of the Gonzales Visitor Information Center.  The deadline posted for the submittal of the proposals was 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 31, 2017.  The request stated that the proposals would be submitted to the City Council for final selection on November 14, 2017.  One request was received at the time of the proposal opening.  Staff would like additional time to meet with the proposer to establish an agreement, therefore is requesting to postpone the award of the contract until the December 5, 2017 City Council Meeting.    

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GONZALES, TEXAS:

The City Council of the City of Gonzales, Texas hereby authorizes the extension of the award date for the Request for Proposals for the operation of the Gonzales Visitor Information Center until December 5, 2017.
